Heading out tomorrow morning to check out the Mojave Desert and its wonders. In this case, ghosts, UFO’s and petroglyphs!

We are launching the photo experiment while we are out there.

Illusions or Paranormal?

 

I had the pleasure of attending the Magic Castle with some great people. As Ed (my “prom date” on the right of the group photo below) said, “Growing up in Southern California you hear rumors of the Magic Castle. It is like the Bigfoot of LA.”

 

Although I have been reading a great deal, the epiphany came while on the adventure at Magic Castle. How many “paranormal” photographs are illusion? Angle, lighting and perspective can all play into creating something that is not real.

It just got me thinking……

It is coming!

We are getting ready for experiment number two!

I’ll order the first set of equipment next week. About month after that, we will be ready to ROCK!!

Firehouse and Jail Museum

It was not my first Jailhouse investigation (I have been to Mansfield and a few others). This was my first Firehouse investigation.

(From the Covina City website) Built in 1911, the firehouse-jail was the first civic building in the City of Covina. It now houses the Covina Firehouse/Jail Museum, located adjacent to City Hall at 125 East College Street. It is open every Sunday, except holidays, from 1 to 3 pm and by appointment. It is staffed by volunteers with the Covina Valley Historical Society, who guide tours and answer questions. Find the whole write up here. You can read about the Covina Fire Department here.
